I have my eye on OPI GoldenEye!

Today I have another OPI Skyfall collection polish to show you!  This one is named GoldenEye and it's...well...GOLD!

This polish is just too good.  This is absolute perfection.

This is a beautiful gold foil that everyone needs to own.  It's really a very, very fine glitter.  I used three coats but you could get away with two.

The finish is just so incredible - the best foil I've ever used.  I wish I had this formula with a copper color and silver color.  The metallic looks like gold flake on my nails.

I really adore how reflective and shiny this is.  I think I'll wear this when I go see the Bond movie!

You can find these OPI Skyfall polishes at Ulta stores for $8.50.

XOXO

A Halloween mani

Happy Halloween!  I haven't had ANY trick-or-treaters!  Bummer.  But I did go see my little baby niece go trick-or-treating for the first time.

Anyway, today I have a Halloween mani to show you.  I'm not going to review all the products since I don't have proper swatches of each right now.  I promise I'll get around to it eventually!

I used traditional colors, of course!  I used OPI A Roll in the Hague, OPI Black Onyx and INM Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat.

OPI A Roll in the Hague is from the Holland collection (duh!) and OPI Black Onyx is permanent.

I used this cell phone picture first because I ended up smearing some of the dots on my middle finger when doing my swatch pictures.

I used two coats of each polish for the base and then used my trusty homemade dotting tool to add the polkadots.

I think this made a really nice Halloween manicure and you know I love a good accent nail!

What are your Halloween plans?  I hope everyone who has been hit by Superstorm Sandy is doing well.

XOXO

I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base is something to love!

The other day I showed you Essence's nail polish but today I'm showing you a new product called I Love Stage.

This is an eyeshadow base with the super budget price of $3.49.  You can find it in Ulta stores but I don't see it on Ulta's website yet.  You can view more details on Essence's website HERE.

This is only available in one color but I think it will work on a wide variety of skin tones because it dries down quite nicely.

This has a doe-foot applicator (my favorite) but dispenses a lot of product.  Just gently dot a bit on each lid and blend in with fingertips.

This isn't my Holy Grail Urban Decay Primer Potion but it's pretty darn good and the price is great!  I noticed slight fading after eight hours.  Of course, it was very, very slight.  Also, I didn't notice any creasing or migrating, so that's great!

You need this!  I have this as my emergency bottle for when I run out of UDPP.

Madonna meets James Bond in today's NOTD!

Today I have two wonderful polishes to show you!  The first is Nicole by OPI Paparazzi Don't Preach. Don't act like you don't love that song...

Seriously...just press play and listen while you read this!  LOL!

*Ahem*  Anyway, this polish is part of the Kim Kardashian collection (Kollection?).  This color is only carried in CVS stores.

This color is a perfect neutral that's perfect for event he most conservative workplaces.

The formula definitely requires two coats.  The first is way too thin; however, this can get goopy and thick quickly.  Just keep your second coat fairly thin and you should be okay.

You can see some patchy spots on my nails.  You can fix this with a third coat but, like I said, it gets thick quickly.

This formula isn't perfect but it is very nice for a quick, work-appropriate nail!

Now this gorgeous glitter is The Living Daylights by OPI!  This is from the new Skyfall collection as part of the new Bond movie promotion.  I am a huge Bond fan thanks to my dad who is also a big 007 fan!

CANNOT WAIT!

I have been positively freaking out over this collection and I want EVERY SINGLE COLOR.  I restrained myself and picked only four but I'm hoping some of the others will end up in my Christmas stocking this year!

This contains silver, gold, copper, and aqua hexagonal glitter in a clear base.  AMAZING!  I haven't seen a glitter like this before.  I love when a company does something unique.

This is two coats of OPI The Living Daylights over NOPI Paparazzi Don't Preach.  I absolutely love this glitter and it's everything I drooled over leading up to this Skyfall release!

Next time I'm planning on trying this over a coppery polish or a turquoise polish.  I think it would look ravishing over Milani Key West.

You can buy NOPI Paparazzi Don't Preach HERE for $7.99 and OPI The Living Daylights in Ulta stores for $8.50.

I will have more OPI Skyfall polishes to show you this week!

XOXO

Creamy gray nails with Essence Movie Star

Essence is a lovely German brand that has (thankfully) made its way to America.  You can find Essence products in Ulta stores but unfortunately they never seem to have the full product line.  C'mon Ulta - gimme more!

I've mentioned Essence's lipglosses before but I believe the nail polish is even better!

Today's product is Essence Colour & Go Quick Drying Nail Polish in Movie Star.  The name of this product confuses me...

Gray?  The words "movie star" evoke bright reds, glitters, shimmers, golds, etc. for me.  Not gray.  However, this is an amazing gray and I love having this in my collection!

This is a dark gray cream polish that has a nice, even flow to it.  I don't experience bubbling or pooling.  It settles nicely; however, I believe it's definitely darker on the nail than it is in the bottle.

This is a really nice base for glitters, too.  Silver glitters looks really nice layered on top.

If you don't have any good gray creams in your collection, this might be a nice one to add.  The price is right at only $1.99.

Unfortunately, Essence has redone their nail polishes and I can't find this one on Ulta's website anymore.  However, the last time I was in Ulta they still had a few of the old bottles on the rack.  If you find this one, pick it up!

Here's a link to Essence's current nail offerings.

Purples and neutrals, oh my! I finally cure my Tarina Tarantino lemming

I have had my eye on this Tarina Tarantino palettes for about a year now but I always felt $32 was far too much for it.  So you know I had to grab is when it went on sale for $20!

Sadly, Tarina Tarantino is leaving Sephora but you can still grab some of the pieces online or in stores.

The colors in this palette look fabulous and they prove to be "Fantastical," too!

The design is really cute but I do wish this included some sort of brush.  However, I can make do without one.

The eyeshadows are dense, buttery, and highly pigmented.  I really couldn't ask more from the formula on these.  The shadows are vibrant and last incredibly well.  Plus, there are so many color combinations to create seamless looks.

Swatched clockwise starting from the top (middle shade last)

My only tiny complaint is that I wish the shades had names.  (But that's a minor complaint!)

I don't experience any creasing or fading with these, even after 12 hours!

Grab this while it lasts!  You can purchase HERE for $20.

Blue smoky eyes are a cinch with this HiP duo

I feel like L'Oreal Paris HiP has been around forever and I've never tried anything from the line for some reason...

Well, that all changed when Izzy from Musings of a Muse sent me this HiP Studio Secrets Professional Metallic Shadow Duo along with the giveaway prize I won.

I am SO GLAD she sent me this because it's seriously incredible.  Blue isn't a color I rock too often because I feel like there's a really fine line between gorgeous and trashy when it comes to blue.

However, this duo (Magnetic 206) is fool-proof!  This creates the most perfect blue smoky eye in two simple steps.

First, swipe the light blue all over your lid without going up into the crease.  Then, take the blackened navy shade and work it into your outer crease.  Voila!  Beautiful.  I promise I'll take a picture and post it of the look I create with this duo.

I also love that the bottom of this opens up to reveal a mirror and a small sponge brush.  I use that to apply the blue shade but then use my trusty Sephora crease brush to use the blackened navy.

Both shades are dense and buttery.  The icy blue color is fabulous without going frosty on eyes.  The whole look is great!

I use primer (as I do with every shadow) and this lasted all day and night without fading or creasing.

You need this!  Plus, it's $8.49, which I think is a great deal for two superior shadows.  You can purchase HERE

An easy, almost-free nail polish storage solution

Organizing your nail polishes can be a pain!  I've always wanted a rack like they have in nail salons so I can see my polishes easily; however, they are very expensive.  Here's a cheap and easy way to organize your polishes that I originally saw on The Beauty Department HERE.

My polishes are organized by color although the drawer is a bit messy right now.

Take white labels and the polishes you want to label.

Paint a bit of each color on the white label.  You want to use white so you get an accurate read of the color.

Next, use a hole-puncher to cut out circles of each polish.  Peel off the back and stick to the cap!  Easy!

As you can see, some polishes have room on the lid for the entire circle.  However, due to the raised text on some of the bottles I had to trim the circles to fit.

These circles make it easy to quickly identify colors without having to pull up everything and check.

My only complaint with this method is the dark colors and glitters are difficult.  For example, dark green, dark blue, and black look similar on the small dots on the black caps.  Also, I couldn't get a lot of the glitters to stick.

One method is to run over the dot with a very thin layer of top coat.  Make sure you get the edges of the dot and this should keep the dot in place.  (Use regular top coat, not fast-drying.)

Cheap and easy storage!  Woot!

How do you organize your polishes?

XOXO
