My first indie polish is a real delight!

I'm happy to report that I finally own my first indie polish!  That's right!  I've branched out into the indie polish scene with two bottles from Feenix Polish.  The first one I want to show you is Candy Corn.

The polish is beautiful!  It contains orange, yellow, and white hexagonal glitter suspended in a clear base.

This is a remarkably gorgeous polish that I adore.  It looks wonderful over black polish but I'm definitely going to try it over orange, too.

Like any glitter, this requires some patience to get the glitter in place.  I think this does best with two coats, but use whatever coverage you like.
One coat over OPI Black Onyx
Two coats over OPI Black Onyx
I used two coats of OPI Black Onyx for these swatches.

Feenix Polish had amazing customer service!  I received my package in two days (!!!) and the bottles were wrapped up nicely in bubble wrap.  I was really pleased with the service I received.  You can find Feenix Polish HERE and her Etsy store HERE.

I bought my bottle during a BOGO sale  - woohoo!  These bottles are $8 / each and $2 for shipping.

Grab Fantasy Makers while it's on sale!

If you were interested in any Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers products then head down to your local CVS or Walgreens and see if you can find it on sale!  I found the whole display 50% off at my CVS.

All I was really interested in grabbing was the glow-in-the-dark nail polish and this sparkling lip gloss.  (Remember how awful the palette I bought was?!)

I'll review the nail polish in a separate post but for right now check out this Sparkling Lip Gloss in Snow White.

This is a clear gloss that has tons of iridescent sparkles!  I see gold, purple, green, blue, and silver.

Now sure, this will add sparkle to any lip color.  You can spice up just about any color!  However...

The grit, the grit, the grit.  It's so gritty and annoying.

I got this on sale for 99 cents which is about all I would pay for it.  I can see me wearing this for a night out or something but not for everyday use.

A Halloween mani

Happy Halloween!  I haven't had ANY trick-or-treaters!  Bummer.  But I did go see my little baby niece go trick-or-treating for the first time.

Anyway, today I have a Halloween mani to show you.  I'm not going to review all the products since I don't have proper swatches of each right now.  I promise I'll get around to it eventually!

I used traditional colors, of course!  I used OPI A Roll in the Hague, OPI Black Onyx and INM Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat.

OPI A Roll in the Hague is from the Holland collection (duh!) and OPI Black Onyx is permanent.

I used this cell phone picture first because I ended up smearing some of the dots on my middle finger when doing my swatch pictures.

I used two coats of each polish for the base and then used my trusty homemade dotting tool to add the polkadots.

I think this made a really nice Halloween manicure and you know I love a good accent nail!

What are your Halloween plans?  I hope everyone who has been hit by Superstorm Sandy is doing well.

XOXO

I'm having a nightmare with this Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers eyeshadow palette

I have the same attitude with makeup that I have with people - I try to find something good about everyone.  It takes a lot for me to totally discount a person or a makeup product.  I have only ever completely thrown away about two products.

Well, make that three.  This Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers eyeshadow palette is completely rubbish.

I picked up 12471 Fairy Flight.  This contains what I thought were some amazing shades.  I was thoroughly disappointed.

Not sure why I swatched these so wonky compared to the palette but oh well!

Now, I thought these would be like the amazing Wet n Wild Color Icon palettes that I've reviewed previously.  NO.  These are nothing like those gems.  These are creams:

Now, I've looked all over the packaging and I can't see anywhere that these are listed as creams.  I thought I was getting dry shadows.  Disappointment overload.

These. Are. Terrible.  I tried a couple super-dramatic eye looks but just gave up after seeing how nasty these are.
Yes, I have the lime green shadow on.  You can barely see it!

The faded, patchy application.  The instant creasing.  Just...eww.  I did an eye look with the black and white but it was so awful that I just took it off without taking a picture.

These are so terrible - do not purchase!  I haven't had experience with Fantasy Makers before but never again.  I will say that I used the white color on my tear duct for a black smoky eye the other night and it lasted decently - but not well.

I'm not even providing a link to purchase because I seriously can't recommend it.  This monstrosity was $4.29.
